Portable fluorometer by Julius Lucks

This portable fluorometer is designed for on-site testing and instant sample readout.

We prototyped and developed two iterations of this device for a local biotech company to match the requirements of their bio-assay and improve the signal-to-background.

  • Changes to excitation and emission filter wavelengths

  • Design changes to fit high-quality glass filters

  • Externalised LED power adjustment

Mixer variant of FED3 by Lex Kravitz
This is an alternative design of the popular FED3. It uses a new hopper, that functions similarly to a cement mixer to dispense pellets. The Mixer variant can hold ~2x more pellets and reduces the likelihood of pellets grinding.
  • Improved usability in group housed cages.
  • Reduced jamming.
